Delete your Eeda account
You can delete your account from inside the app in a few taps, or ask us by email. Here is exactly what goes and what stays.
Last updated: October 31, 2026
In the app
Customers
- Open the Account tab.
- Tap “Delete my account” — the red line below Sign out.
- Confirm. It cannot be undone.
Pros
- If you have an Eeda plan with Apple, cancel it first: on the Account tab tap “Change or cancel with Apple” (or open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions) and cancel the Pro Listing (online booking is part of it, so there is nothing else to cancel).
- Open the Account tab.
- Tap “Delete my account” — the red line below Sign out.
- Confirm. Your page comes down with it.
If you have been signed in for a while, the app asks you to sign out and back in first. That is a security check, and nothing is deleted until you confirm again.
Deleting your Eeda account does not cancel a plan you bought from Apple — Apple keeps charging it until you cancel it with Apple. Cancel it first (step 1 for pros above), so it does not renew. Refunds are Apple’s to decide: reportaproblem.apple.com.
By email
Email support@geteeda.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We make sure the request came from you before anything is deleted, so nobody else can delete your account, and we do it within 45 days — usually within a day or two.
What is deleted
- Your account and profile, including your name, email, phone number, home address (the street address too, if you gave one), profile picture, and the record of when you accepted the Terms.
- Your member card (the one friends could find you by), an invite code from before October 17, 2026, if you had one, your saved pros, and your friend connections on both sides.
- Your in-app notifications, your blocked list, and the notes that marked who had blocked you.
- For customers: the scrambled codes of your contacts’ phone numbers kept for “Tell me when my contacts join Eeda” (never names or numbers; turning that switch off on the Account tab deletes them without deleting your account), your home upkeep plan on the My Home tab (the tasks you track — including the basic tasks Eeda added for you — your home’s features, and the note that Eeda added the basics) and your “Done tasks” list (every day you marked a task done, including tasks you had stopped tracking), the jobs you posted from the Post a job page on the My Home tab, their photos, and every quote on them, and your bookings, with the job addresses and the phone number kept with them (a booking still ahead is cancelled first, and the pro is told).
- For pros: your page, the photos on it, the copy of your page we kept while reading it, your before & after photos, every document you uploaded to it (such as a certificate of insurance) and the note of when Eeda reminded you about its date, and every quote you sent on leads (the job board). Every booking still ahead on your page — waiting for your answer or confirmed — is cancelled, and the customer is told. Eeda’s records of your Apple plans (which plan, its status and dates, Apple’s identifiers for it, and the random code Eeda gave Apple for your account) are deleted too; Apple keeps its own purchase records under its own rules.
- If you invited pros (from “+ Invite a pro” or “Know a great pro?”, or “Know another pro?” on a pro account): the pros you invited (kept as scrambled codes of their numbers) and your personal invite link (it stops working).
- Your login itself.
These are removed the moment you confirm. Any copy left in our provider’s routine backups clears on their schedule.
If you turned on “Put confirmed bookings on my calendar”, deleting your account in the app also takes the events Eeda added to your phone’s calendar for bookings still ahead off it (as far as your phone lets it at that moment; past bookings’ events stay, and nothing about your calendar was ever on your account) — if a person at Eeda deletes your account for you, those events stay on your phone, so remove them yourself.
A person at Eeda can also delete an account, or delete only a pro’s page, when you ask us to by email or when it breaks our Terms — for example after reports about it. Deleting an account removes everything listed above. Deleting only a pro’s page removes the page and everything listed for pros, plus the reviews written about it, and the login stays as a home account. Either way we keep a short record — the account’s email address, what was removed, when and why — for three years, and the same record when a person at Eeda removes a profile picture that breaks the Guidelines. For a pro’s page, the dated copies of it — what it said each time it changed, when, and who changed it — stay for three years from each change, seen by a person at Eeda only.
What stays, and why
- Reviews you posted stay on the pro’s listing under the name you used (and a review still waiting to be read, or one we decided not to post, stays in our records as your one review of that pro). Email support@geteeda.com if you want one removed, and we decide.
- Reports you made about a listing, a member, a job, or a quote are kept for three years so repeat problems stay visible.
- For pros: the dated copies of your page — what it said each time it was created, changed or deleted, when, and who changed it (your own statement ticked before it went live included) — stay for three years from each change, seen by a person at Eeda only, so that a later question about what a customer saw on the day they hired you can still be answered. They are deleted automatically after that.
- For pros: a booking a customer made with you stays in that customer’s list, because they need it too, until it is deleted automatically three years after the customer sent the request.
- If you invited pros: the record of a card Eeda already sent you — who it was for, when, that a person at Eeda sent it, the last 4 characters of the card’s link or code, and the email it went to — is kept for three years after it was sent, for our accounts and so a question about a card can be answered (the shop’s email holding the card itself stays in the inbox of the person at Eeda who bought it for at most 60 days after it was sent, then is deleted). Your other invitations are deleted with your account, and a card you earned that was not sent yet is never sent (one already on its way at that moment finishes, and its record is kept the same way).
- For pros: if someone invited you, Eeda’s note of that invitation (your business name, a one-way code of your number, who invited you, and where the card stood) is kept for three years after its last change. If their card was not earned yet, deleting your account means your joining can no longer earn them one; a card already earned is still sent to them.
- Records we must keep for tax, accounting, or another law, and anything we need to stop fraud, keep the service secure, or finish a legal claim.
- What Meta’s tools already sent to Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure Eeda’s ads — the app being installed or opened, an account being made, a pro taking charge of a listed page, a pro plan starting, and which pages of geteeda.com were opened, never your name, email, phone number or address — is Meta’s to keep under its own privacy policy. Eeda holds no copy, so deleting your Eeda account cannot delete it. To ask Meta about it, use Meta’s own settings (for example “Your activity off Meta technologies”, if you have a Facebook or Instagram account) or Meta’s privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy. The switch “Share app activity with Meta” belongs to your phone, not your account: if you will keep the Eeda app on your phone, turn the switch off on the Account tab before you delete your account (once you are signed out, the Account tab is gone), or delete the app, and on the website use the “Your privacy choices” page (geteeda.com/privacy-choices.html).
Asked us to list your business with the “List my business” form on geteeda.com? That form is not an account. Email support@geteeda.com and we delete what you sent; otherwise it is deleted by itself two years after you sent it. If a person at Eeda already listed a page for your business, tell them, or write to support@geteeda.com, and we take it down. Once you take charge of the page in the app, it is your listing, and deleting your account deletes it like any other listing.
The full retention table is in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy at geteeda.com/privacy.html.
